20.12 Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!
Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year from Australia to all our family, friends and other viewers!.

2007.... It's been a good year!

Well as you can see Joanna and I made it, we have survived 10 months down under and we've tried to keep our blog updated as much as possible!

We've travelled far and wide within Victoria in our trusty Magna Wagon and have managed a cheeky holiday up to tropical Queensland and there are plans to head up to the Northern Territory and west side to catch up with John before our year here is up.

We're looking forward to spending the Christmas period with my relations in South Australia with Christmas day on the beach in classic Australian style with a bbq before heading up to Sydney for New Years Eve which will be an amazing experience!

So all in all we've had a ball and who knows what delights 2008 will hold?

Hope you all have a great Christmas and New Year and here's to a great 2008!

With lots of love,
Nathan & Joanna xxx

09.10 JB's Birthday Meal

On JB's birthday we decided to head out for a few drinks and a meal in the city.

The Boyz! The Girlz! After a great meal in Stalactite (on Lonsdale Street), Melbourne's most popular Greek restaurant that is open 24 hours! The decor was a little strange once inside and seated upstairs - you just have to see what they have managed to do with the ceiling, a number of primary school children & some paper mache instructions!!

05.10 JB's Birthday Weekend

As it was JB's 30th, we thought that we'd better head out of Melbourne and head down the Great Ocean Road for the weekend. Having just spent five weeks in NZ, we thought John wouldn't mind another couple of days of 'carrier bag living'. Luckily for us he didn't!

We arrived on Friday evening in torrential rain, to the point that we could hardly see where we were driving! Fortunately the weather improved slightly for us and all the waterfalls were flowing freely.

The first stop on Saturday was the market before making our way up to the Otway Fly.

We headed to Port Campbell for a drink before the return journey that took in all of the rock formations that form the Shipwreck Coast. By the end, you might be able to see in the second to last photo, that we got a little 'rocked out'!
